About Me

My journey into photography began at a young age. Never entirely comfortable in front of the camera myself, I naturally stepped behind it; becoming the family photographer before I reached my teenage years. What started as a way to capture those around me soon grew into a genuine passion. That passion soon developed into a career. I went on to work as a principal photographer for a local fashion designer, as well as a second photographer within a studio environment. During this time, I refined my style and gained invaluable experience across weddings, engagement shoots, family portraits, and promotional imagery...learning not only the technical craft but how to truly understand and deliver what clients need.

I later achieved a BSc in Film & Television, further shaping my approach to storytelling, composition, and light. My work today is heavily influenced by both my film background and my continued involvement in the performing arts. I am a founding member of Hudswell Village Players, a community-led performing arts charity, where I remain actively involved both on and off stage.

I live just outside Barnard Castle with my husband, Tom, and our dog, Marcy. Outside of photography, I enjoy classical singing, writing, supporting local arts venues by creating visual content and experimenting in the kitchen...usually something unapologetically spicy.

"Recently done promotional photos for our Musical Theatre Society and WOW. Not only does she capture the lighting and staging perfectly but she also manages to capture the emotions of every cast member. PS- I have never seen somebody whizz around a theatre so much looking for that perfect spot! Huge thanks again Christine x"
